HOW DO YOU GET INSPIRED TO WRITE?
I find inspiration in the everyday, often simple things of life. I am intrigued by people; complex, straightforward, reserved, opinionated. Places; near, far, imagined. Happenings; joyous, momentous, tragic. Inspiration lives not only within us, but alongside us. I have a simple belief that everyone has a story, everything is a story.
HOW DO YOU DEAL WITH WRITERS BLOCK?
Simply stated, I put my hands up slowly and step away from the computer. Creativity requires inspiration. If my writing has hit a plateau then I need to refuel my inspiration. The most inspiration-building activities I can personally engage in are conversing with positive, faith-filled people and going for a walk to take in the awesomeness of nature and my surroundings. Most importantly, I don’t stress over so-called ‘writer’s block’. Creativity and inspiration always return, and sometimes a break is exactly what is most needed.
WHAT’S THE BEST THING ABOUT BEING A WRITER?
My greatest enjoyment is found through communicating what I experience in the day by day occurrences of living, and bringing those unique moments to life with words. Of course, it’s truly rewarding if my writings inspire, entertain, motivate, and hearten the reader.
I am trying to find the artist’s name that did the painting of the old house. Can you leave me a message about this. I love the artist’s work.
